Why is my shelter, food, clothing and transporation affordable, but not my health insurance?

Image taken on by .

My city, near where I live in a very large. . . I was teaching as an assistant to the university, take the required classes, teaching two classes, have been busy. I replaced (so now you can get a bad deal for free lessons, Mon provide only $ 1,300!), But I have a curiosity: a study, from 500 dollars here (this is affordable I) is about 200 dollars you can get it (a month or 99-cent store food coupons and food in the city, I did, the supply of rice, beans, fruit juices and vegetable soup, canned several different ), the week I can get clothing, buffalo and goodwill of approximately 200 dollars per year or 1 Exchange Ebay purchase of materials used to go on being used. So, I like me even leaves enough life to know of affordable commodities, low wages, but wait, why one would take me to the state before the month $ 1 130 Insurance the existing inflation rate is quoted in the carrier, however, passed the study, food, bus pass or second-hand clothes are still affordable? Know. Health insurance, affordable, clothing, housing, bus pass, and if the grocery store, I think it is good? I’m rich and the Japanese capital, about 150 dollars a month means a person completely covered. Unbelievable. Mind, or steal other Americans? I do not.

Because it costs 50K for an operation whether you live in a suburb or a major city. I don’t know of too many poor doctors. Also medication will cost the same wherever you live too. When you pay $20 for a meal at a restaurant, the chef didn’t go to school for 20 years to learn to make pasta. He doesn’t have to be thousands/month in liability insurance, use very expensive multi-million dollar machinery such as for PTscans, pay for nurses, staff, billing department, office space, specialists and the list goes on. If someone doesn’t think their health is worth paying a premium for then they are free not to cover it.

I think the more important question is, why is car insurance not affordable. A healthy 20 year will pay over $200/month to insure a car worth maybe 10,000. The same person can qualify for health care at that price or cheaper, and if they need a $100,000 operation, chemo or emergency health service they’ll be covered.

Also, you say the quote is for pre-existing conditions. If you failed to get insurance before your condition then you’re lucky they’re even offering you anything let alone for only 1300/month. If you total a 100K car and didn’t have insurance, can you call an insurance company and expect them to cover it? No they won’t even consider it. At least they’re giving you an option to probably provide tens of thousands worth of health care for 1300/month. My health care costs 137/month. If I choose to cancel it to pocket the money instead, then get sick and cry that it’ll cost me 1300…it would only make every one else’s policy go up if people like that were provided the same low price as someone who had already been paying into the system. I’m sorry you have a condition but I think it’s nice of them to take on the cost of treating someone who is already sick and they know it’s going to cost them more than making any profit.

The things you described are common that’s why they are affordable, such high quantity yields low cost.

Like Dirt and Gold. Both come from the earth but dirt is worth nothing because it’s so common, yet gold is expensive because it’s so rare.

The solution to affordable health care is to increase the number of Doctors. If Doctors were common as A/C Repair Men, it be low cost.

Health insurance is so expensive because that is meant to be good for America. Well, that is what most here seem to think. Mind you, some think that the GOP reforms will bring prices down. LOL+++ THUD. Sorry, that was the sound of me laughing my head off. You see, Obama’s reforms have been based on what has worked to lower costs and improve outcomes abroad. The GOP plans…

I am always amazed how many Americans seem not to be aware about the real healthcare issues relying instead on FOX and other sources to spread lies about the healthcare system of the USA and those abroad. I mean, if healthcare in nations with universal coverage is so bad, why do they keep it?
Obama wants to make insurance more available to all and change the system so that it gives the American people value for money [1]. He also wants change so that the insurance companies find it harder to get out of paying for treatment. The system he is proposing looks similar to that which works in Taiwan where private companies are involved in providing healthcare [2].
Obama campaigned on reforming the healthcare system. He said he wanted to make insurance more available and he was elected by the American people to do this [3].
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids both for kids aged under one and those under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [4].
FACT – American insurance companies push up prices and work to stop paying out claims on those they cover [5].
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [6].
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in any western nation with universal health coverage.
If you do not like the policies that Obama was elected to bring in, he can always be voted out of office in 2012. But if you disagree with the facts, please let me know. I am always willing to learn, but please provide proof. None of those who disagree with me have been able to do that so far.
